Location: Gili Islands, Indonesia

The Gili Islands have been formally confirmed as a 2026 training base for the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC), with a full calendar of instructor-level programs scheduled throughout the year. The announcement reinforces the region’s long-standing role in professional scuba education within Indonesia and the wider Asia-Pacific diving community.

All 2026 IDC programs in the Gili Islands will be conducted on Gili Trawangan at Blue Marlin Dive Gili Trawangan, a dive center with more than 30 years of operational history and recognition as the first PADI IDC Centre established in the island group. The facility continues to support a broad range of professional and instructor-level scuba training programs aligned with international PADI standards.

Academic oversight and instructor evaluation are led by Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod, whose career spans over 23 years across multiple global diving regions. The training framework emphasizes structured teaching development, knowledge application, and practical instructional assessment designed to reflect real-world teaching environments.
