A Financial Filings API that aggregates and standardizes public-company disclosures from more than 60 stock exchanges and about 50,000 issuers was announced today by Quantillium. The archive spans a decade and refreshes on a daily cycle, the company said.

What the API delivers

According to Quantillium, the API returns machine-readable JSON or CSV and includes full text and tables, an aligned English version where applicable, and a ten-section document structure intended to support cross-market comparisons. Each document is associated with common security identifiers, including tickers and OpenFIGI, to support downstream analysis and reconciliation.

Coverage overview

Coverage spans financial, event, governance, and ownership disclosures. Examples include 10-K and 10-Q, international annual and quarterly reports, 8-K and comparable global current reports, 6-K, 20-F, 40-F, proxy materials, and insider Forms 3, 4, and 5. The historical archive extends back to 2015, the company said.

Access options

Teams may connect programmatically through documented API endpoints or work in a web portal available at Global Filings. The portal provides search, review of key sections, and data exports, and mirrors the identifiers and structure used in the API so outputs remain consistent across teams, according to Quantillium.

Two ways to work

  • Programmatic access via JSON and CSV for developers and data teams
  • A portal interface for browsing filings, saving results, and exporting data

Why it matters

Many teams struggle to compare filings across markets. By standardizing structure and preserving source links, the API is intended to make verification and cross-market analysis more straightforward, according to the company.

AI-related applications

The document structure and identifier mapping are designed to support applications such as retrieval and document grounding, where outputs reference the underlying filing and standard identifiers, the company noted.

Illustrative use cases

  • Quantitative research and factor testing that draws on comparable disclosures across regions
  • Fundamental analysis and diligence reviews that use standardized sections
  • Ownership and governance monitoring that references Forms 3, 4, and 5 and proxy materials
  • Event studies around current reports and corporate actions
