The global content market in 2025 is still centered on South Korea. Netflix’s ‘K-pop Demon Hunters’ immediately clinched the global No. 1 spot upon release, sweeping streaming charts worldwide, while ‘Squid Game Season 3’ maintained top positions across various regions, once again solidifying the influence of K-dramas. With K-POP world tours consistently selling out, the assessment is that the entertainment industry this year is virtually revolving around K-contents.
This trend is now expanding into the Web3 space. The Korean Culture Game (KCG), which adopts a PT2E (Play Tab-to-Earn) structure based on Telegram, is rapidly increasing its user base through organic growth since its launch, combining traditional Korean play motifs with user-friendly accessibility. A key strength to point out is its structure, which allows the game to run immediately within Telegram without requiring a separate app installation, making it easily accessible even to general users unfamiliar with Web3.
KCG recently unveiled its first set of strategic partners. The project selectively disclosed only the core collaborators that joined during the initial phase, not the entire list of partnerships.
The partners confirmed to date are as follows:
RollingStone Korea
mBIOLAB
RollingStone Korea is the Korean partner of the global music and culture magazine brand, commanding strong influence in the music and entertainment domain.
mBIOLAB is a company that has been conducting R&D (Research and Development) based on health data and bio-analysis, and is actively seeking integration with the digital ecosystem.
The industry is paying close attention to the fact that such prominent brands have aligned with a project that converges K-content and Web3 from its initial stages. Some interpret this as establishing a foundation that can longitudinally connect the K-content narrative with the Web3 gaming structure, moving beyond one-off campaigns.
KCG stated that the remaining partners and collaboration targets, “will be disclosed incrementally, in line with regional service schedules.”
Industry interest in KCG across the Web3, gaming, and content sectors is expected to rise further once the project’s specific tokenomics and additional alliance and partnership structures are revealed.
