For Panipan Pansang, the sea was never just water; it was destiny. Long before he helmed Seaborn Maritime Solutions as CEO, he was a boy trailing behind his father through the clamor of Ranong Deep Sea Port, absorbing the rhythms of maritime life. The scent of salt air, the echo of engines, and the silhouette of bulk carriers etched themselves into his memory—and, eventually, his mission.

“My earliest memories are filled with ships,” he recalls. “It wasn’t just fascination. It felt like a calling.”

That calling grew sharper during his years at Kasetsart University, where he pursued a degree in Nautical Science. But Panipan wasn’t content with just theory. While most students stuck to the classroom, he took on part-time work as a Marine Surveyor with Intertek Testing Services. His tasks—vessel inspections, cargo evaluations, and navigating the nuances of shipping compliance—gave him something textbooks never could: real-world complexity.

By April 2022, that early ambition had evolved into a full-fledged career. Panipan joined Thoresen Thai Agencies (TTA) as a Deck Officer aboard a 32,379 gross tonnage bulk carrier. It was his first official role and the start of an intense hands-on education in the world’s most logistically demanding industry.

“That cadetship wasn’t a trial run,” he says. “It was real storms, real deadlines, real responsibility.”

He led cargo operations in key Southeast Asian ports, coordinated with international crews, and honed his skills in radar navigation and vessel stability. But where many would have stayed in their comfort zone, Panipan looked ahead. In 2023, he stepped ashore into a new role as a Sales Engineer at Inter Marine Lube, working with marine clients like Chevron. The shift from deck to deal-making marked the beginning of a rare crossover—one that merged deep operational knowledge with commercial strategy.

Today, Panipan sits at the helm of Seaborn Maritime Solutions, a company that’s quickly gaining traction as a forward-thinking partner for maritime operators across Asia and beyond. From AI-assisted vessel inspections to full-service port agency support—provisioning, crew change logistics, and documentation—Seaborn is built on the belief that modern maritime services should be both innovative and accessible.

What sets him apart isn’t just his résumé; it’s the way he navigates both machinery and markets. He’s equally comfortable breaking down lubrication systems with engineers as he is pitching maritime solutions to executives—a dual fluency that has become his hallmark.

This feature, developed in collaboration with Pressiqa, provides an inside look at how Panipan Pansang’s multi-disciplinary approach is quietly reshaping expectations in global shipping.

At the heart of Seaborn’s growth is a commitment to something that’s rarely found on spreadsheets: trust. “When I was at sea, I learned that successful operations depend on people trusting each other with their lives,” he says. “I try to bring that same mindset into every business decision.”

With plans to expand across ASEAN and into U.S. ports, and with a training program in the works focused on green shipping technologies, Panipan’s vision isn’t just bold—it’s urgent. As environmental regulations tighten and digitization accelerates, Seaborn aims to be the kind of partner that doesn’t just react to change but drives it.

“We’re not trying to be the biggest player,” he says. “We’re trying to be the smartest, the fastest to adapt, and the most reliable when it matters most.”

From cadetship drills to CEO boardrooms, Panipan Pansang’s ascent has been anything but ordinary. And if his trajectory so far is any indication, the tides of global shipping may soon bear his signature.
